30 year customer looking for account-specific pricing review
I've been an Xfinity customer for 30 years and would prefer to stay with Xfinity. My bill, until this month, has been at what I feel is an acceptable amount for the service I use ($45), and I'm hoping to find a promotion or discount that can eliminate the rate increase I just received.
My current service includes:
- Connect More Internet Only, which started at 300/20 and was upgraded (by Xfinity) to 400/35 in 2025.
- Xfinity is including a Flex box for streaming, and free Peacock, but I can live without those.
I recently chatted with a representative about lowering my bill, but we went through several different configurations, none of the plans were similar in price to my current, and some contained services that I simply don't need. I don't want to repeat that process. Chatting and phone calls are time-consuming and rarely productive. My local store is apparently third-party owned and I don't want to make the drive only to be disappointed.
I'd like an account-specific review of all currently available promotions, retention/loyalty offers, and longer-term pricing options for my account.
I'm open to changing my package if there are legitimate savings opportunities, but I need to understand exactly what would change. In particular, I'd like any proposed price to clearly identify the Internet service being offered, taxes/fees and any other recurring charges. I currently use my own equipment and plan to continue.
Most importantly, I'd like to know the complete recurring monthly price, rather than just a promotional package price that may change once equipment or other services are included.
After 30 years, I'd really prefer to stay with Xfinity. With the arrival of a competitor's fiber service to my street, I'm hoping someone at Xfinity can take a look at my account and offer me a reason to NOT switch.
Thank you
