Billing Issue
I am writing to express serious frustration regarding a billing issue that should have been resolved over a month ago.
In May, I contacted Xfinity customer support to cancel my internet service, as I was preparing to move to Atlanta. My new apartment includes built-in WiFi, and tenants are not allowed to select their own internet provider. During that call, the representative assured me that my service would be properly cancelled and would not continue beyond my move.
I also terminated my Georgia Power service at the same time, since I no longer reside at the old address.
However, I was surprised and disappointed to receive an overdue payment notice today, along with bills for both June and July. This is completely unacceptable—I moved out weeks ago, have not used Xfinity’s services since, and was clearly told my account would be cancelled in time.
I would like an immediate explanation as to:
- Why my cancellation request from May was not properly processed.
- Why I have received charges for services in June and July, after I no longer lived at that address.
I expect this to be resolved promptly, and I ask that you issue a refund for any charges made after the account should have been closed in June.
