Cancelled internet service, keep being asked to return rental equipment that I never had

I cancelled service after being charged for a rental modem (I've always owned my own modem).  I contacted Xfinity Support Assistant multiple times over six months to get it corrected and the charge refunded.  However, the charge kept recurring everytime even though the agents said it had been corrected.  I've chatted with them after cancelling too since cancelling service, I keep getting texts to return the equipment. 

How do I get this corrected?

user_smstmv Thanks for reachin gout about the notification to return equipment even though you owned the device. I can certainly understand that would be frustrating, and I'm happy to help! 

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In"

If necessary Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person".

Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
