Debt collection

Hello,

Two years I moved from my apartment and there was a closeout bill that I wasn't aware off. As soon I got to know about that bill I paid it fully, I have also called customer service to double check that all my balances are paid and there were no other fees or bills. Even after that I have started a new service with xfinity and paid my bills promptly.

However, since two years ago "eastern account systems" have a paid collection account on my credit report due to this bill. I was never notified about this account and I don't even know the account number. I spoke with xfinity customer service and I was told that they will notify them that the debt is recalled and that it is fully paid. However I still have that collection account on my credit report and it is hurting me a lot, I'm having problems with renting and buying! I'm using this tool so I can have a written record.

I want xfinity to contact the collection agency and notify them that the debt is recalled and paid, and it ask for the deletion of this collection account from my credit report.

Please I need assistance with this ASAP as the collection agency "eastern account systems" arent responsive and I cant even get my account number to get the full information related to it.

Thanks!

Having a similar issue -- they wrongfully charged me for extra months of service after I closed out my account. I've been trying to resolve this issue since January of this year, but each time they tell me that the issue is resolved when there has not been any change. Now they sent a debt collecting agency after me and hurt my credit score badly. I've been trying to dispute this with Xfinity, but every time I call them they seem to have no idea what the issue is, which leads me to wonder if they ever even tried to help me in the first place. I am extremely upset as I always paid my dues in time -- completely unacceptable and unprofessional that Xfinity's incompetent customer service is leading customers actually hurt by their actions.
