Dispute charges and please refund my payments from August 2024 to August 2025
My name is [Edited: "Personal Information"] and my late husband’s name is [Edited: "Personal Information"]. He
died on July 29, 2024. Our mailing and current address is [Edited: "Personal Information"] with contact numbers of [Edited: "Personal Information"] and [Edited: "Personal Information"], respectively.
I am writing you this letter to dispute charges against my late husband’s Xfinity
account#[Edited: "Personal Information"] between August 2024 to August 2025.
Unbeknownst to me at the same token I was paying my current Xfinity account
on top of my husband’s account. This is not right!
I have had it, I feel like I was exploited while grieving for the loss of my late
husband. You see, immediately after the death of my husband: I personally
went to the Xfinity store at [Edited: "Personal Information"] on or about August 2024. My sole purpose of visit was
to report that my husband had passed away and close his Xfinity account. The
employee who handled my request created my new account, and told me that
I need to return the Xfinity router equipment and gadgets that came with it.
Since that visit in August 2024, you have resumed charging my credit card
against my husband’s Xfinity account; while at the same time paying my
separate subscription, monthly.
To make matters worse, I have been trying to resolve this problem, but each
time (8 times) I attempted to do so—I was put on hold for nearly an hour over
the phone. Xfinity representatives kept passing me around, one after another.
No one seemed to know how to help me until I sent snapshots of the credit
charge of my account, just recently.Again, not until recently is when I finally received the reference numbers of
ECM [Edited: "Personal Information"] and ECM [Edited: "Personal Information"]. Unfortunately, even with reference
numbers, your representatives are not able to resolve this outstanding issue.
The totalling amount of the charges against my late husband's Xfinity account
between August 2024 to August 2025 is $4,180.32. I demand a refund of the
same amount of $4,180.32.
These monthly charges were taken from my credit card ending with 4501,
automatically.
