Dropped download speed, bill didn't go down by $10 as advertised

I recently dropped my service from 600 down to 400 down.  My bill was supposed to go down by $10 but it only went down $2.  I made one other change and that was to my automatic payment, which I changed from my checking account to a credit card.  Does anyone know if the automatic payment discount, which was $10 when debiting a checking account, is less when using a credit card?

Hey @lmacmil, Thank you for visiting our official Xfinity Forums Community support page. We appreciate you sharing your experience with us regarding the Xfinity account, billing, and services. You've reached the right place and I would be more than happy to assist.

It sounds like your services are eligible for our Self-Service Discount. That means the plan may be eligible for up-to a $10.00 Self-Service Discount with active enrollment in both Automatic Payments and Paperless Billing. You would receive a $2 discount with Automatic Payments when using a credit/debit card or a $10.00 discount with Automatic Payments when using a checking/savings account.

With the recent changes you have made to the Automatic Payments, the account would only be eligible for a $2.00 discount versus the higher $10.00 discount. If you would like to add a checking/savings account back to the account, the $10.00 Self-Service Discount will be added on your next service bill.

You can learn more about our Self-Service Discount by visiting our 'Automatic payments and paperless billing discount' support page.

Thanks for the information.  I did not see the difference in autopay discounts from checking accounts vs credit cards mentioned on the page where you select the method.  That's where it should appear.  I just changed it back to checking.

Great! I would recommend using a checking/savings for the greater discount. Would there happen to be anything more we could assist you with today with our amazing suite of Xfinity products and services @lmacmil?
