Existing customer options

I am trying to confirm existing customer options for Xfinity internet.  I am having a Fiber service provider move into our area, and am seriously considering switching away from Xfinity, especially given the large cost difference.  Xfinity has reasonable new customer deals with a 5 price year guarantee, but these aren't available for existing customers, making the fiber provider the best option.  Our neighborhood also had a series of outages earlier in the summer, with about 10 in a month, not including weather or maintainence issues.  I was able to request a credit for 1 day, but then the outage credit system started rejecting submissions and said I hit the max for the month (despite only getting a single credit).  I need to be shown any options that could make me consider keeping Xfinity, since I will now have another high speed internet option available shortly.

Good morning @IAmAI, and thanks for posting your question to the Xfinity forums, I hope this message finds you well. I can definitely understand the desire to want to lower your monthly bill for your service, and you have come to the right place for assistance with this issue. Have you checked out the Xfinity plan builder tool on the website? If you are signed in to your account you will see a list of the promotions available for your account.

I did review that, and found very limited promotions.  While I wouldn't necessarily expect the equivalent of the new customer promotions, only one tier level seemed to even have a promotional price listed, while all others were at the full price.  They still seemed an improvement from my current plan since they include equipment (versus currently paying for my equipment), but just by a small amount.  Unfortunately I doubt I will continue with Xfinity for long given how limited the promotions presented are.

If I do change plans, can you confirm that they don't include a contract, and can be changed/canceled at any point, despite the 5-year price guarantee?

The plans that have the 5-year price guarantee do not require a contract @IAmAI, and if you were to switch to one of those plans you could cancel at any time without a penalty.
