I cancelled my service but still being charged

I called on 8/29 and cancelled my service.  You never sent me a final bill until today I received a statement showing what I owed plus another month.  Why are you trying to charge me for service thru October when I cancelled 3 weeks ago? It says "our bill is past due and your service will be disconnected on October 14, 2025".... which is ok with me.  That's what I requested on 8/29.  I've scheduled a payment for the partial amount that I owed, but shouldn't be charged for another month.
