I don't understand why xfinity is so difficult

I’ve been an Xfinity internet customer for a while now, and the service has been fine. I was previously on a promotion paying $68/month for 800 Mbps internet, but that just expired and my bill jumped to $107/month, which I can't pay even if i wanted to. While I don’t necessarily need the full 800 Mbps (honestly this last year on this plan has been the worst internet i've had and i had 300 or 500 mbps before), I’d like to stick with Xfinity if there’s a more affordable option—something around 600 Mbps (that actually runs at 600 Mbps) would be fine. The chat was absolutely useless and offered me a jacked up price for a more expensive plan with a phone that i didn't ask for and told me there was nothing else they could do.

Are there any current promotions or loyalty deals available for existing customers? I really don't want to have to change providers. Also, do I have to go through this nightmare every single year??

Thanks in advance for any help!
