Impossible to cancel service and receiving bills

I moved out of my last apartment 3 months ago and moved almost three thousand miles. I had  reached out to Xfinity for cancellation of the service in June. Xfinity still won't cancel the services, saying the system has my request cancellation status "pending". Is this fraud from Xfinity? What is Xfinity trying to do?

Updating the community. Xfinity still hasn't completed the cancellation. They are dragging the cancelation longer and longer. I called a million times already where they give me useless ticket numbers to follow up on. I will make a consumer complaint about Xfinity's refusal to cancel the account.
