Incorrect billing after multiple Seasonal Hold extensions
I’m hoping an Xfinity representative can help resolve a billing issue that I haven’t been able to resolve through chat or phone support.
I placed my Internet service on Seasonal Hold beginning June 6 and extended the end date several times before the hold expired:
- 6/5: Seasonal Hold scheduled for 6/6–8/4
- 7/31: Extended through 8/10
- 8/5: Extended through 8/31
- 8/23: Extended through 9/21
- 9/11: Changed my regular Internet plan to a new plan that should be $50/month after autopay/paperless billing discounts once regular service resumes
- 9/19: Extended Seasonal Hold through 10/14
My Seasonal Hold enrollment page currently shows 10/14 as the end date.
However, my Sep 9 bill was $166.40, including:
- Aug 10–Sep 13: $82.40
- Sep 14–Oct 13: $84.00
Both periods should have been covered by my Seasonal Hold extensions.
My next bill also shows a $12.72 balance for Oct 14–Nov 13, with:
- Services Added: $76.76
- Services Removed: -$114.04
- Regular monthly charges: $50
I’ve contacted Xfinity through chat multiple times and also spent over an hour on the phone trying to resolve this. The representatives appear to see an earlier Seasonal Hold end date in their system and have told me they cannot make the necessary billing adjustment. Some have also focused on my previous promotional plan expiring, but that isn’t the issue — my service was still supposed to be on Seasonal Hold.
At this point, I’m quite frustrated because my Seasonal Hold enrollment page clearly shows the updated 10/14 end date, yet the billing system does not appear to reflect the extensions correctly.
Could an Xfinity representative please review the Seasonal Hold enrollment/change history on my account and correct the billing for the period during which the hold was active?
I can provide screenshots showing the current 10/14 Seasonal Hold end date and the relevant bills privately if needed.
