Installation Fee Dispute

Hello,

Last month I was having issues connecting to the internet at my new apartment. I tried to connect my personal modem/router and cable box to every coaxial cable in my apartment, but none worked. A technician came by to fix it, but had to fix the wiring on the outside of my building that connected to my coaxial outlets and only 1 ended up working, which I now use. The technician provided a new wireless tv box, but only because I had one coaxial outlet available which my wifi was plugged into.

I recently received the bill and it showed a $100 installation fee on my bill, am I able to dispute that since my equipment wasn’t the issue or is it my issue since my outlets weren’t working?

Hello user_248qn2, thank you for posting here in our Xfinity Community forums, we appreciate you and your time.I completely understand how you would want to know if you can get past a charge, I really do. However, since the issue was with your home's wiring(outlets), the tech charge is valid. I am happy to assist with any other questions or concerns if you have them.
