My Bill Has Increased Dramatically

My bill used to run about $100/month. That is already too high. But then I started getting excess data charges. What happened? My bill is 40% higher now and that's unacceptable. I need to understand why this has happened and how to reduce the bill. My usage hasn't gone up.

I understand that Denver (via Comcast) has one of the highest Broadcast fees in the country.  Why is that and is Comcast trying to push back from additional increases?

Are their TV Cable packages that exclude the local channels, as those are easy to pick up over the air?

Hello @user_htwn5o Thanks for your question. With Broadcast fees it does vary by area and the content available to you. We cover half the cost of these fees, while the other half is what you see on your bill. We are always negotiating with the different networks to find a deal that works for both parties to give our customer's the content they want.

In terms of excluding those fees and plans that include the local channels with include the broadcast fees. As those major networks own more that just the locals in many cases including some that are not available over the air.

In terms of plans without the fees we have our NOW TV. More information can be found here: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/now-tv-overview
