NBC Sports Chicago is going away soon

Greetings,

I got an email that says "NBC Sports Chicago is going away soon".

Does this mean no more being charged a "Regional Sports Fee"?

Do you still get the Cubs channel (Marquee Sports)? If you do, then most likely you will still get the fee.

Also, NBC Sports Chicago is being replaced by Chicago Sports Network; you might get that soon.

@Biff-Tannon Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. It would depend on if there are other sports networks in your package. Did the communication you received mention any change you that Regional Sports Fee?

We should be getting a credit since we no longer have NBC Sports and we don't have access to CGSN.  I guess the Blackhawks, Bulls and Sox don't want any fan support!! Where is my refund?

Good evening @user_5df245, and thank you for reaching out to our dedicated Communities team on our Forums, we appreciate it. As a sports fan myself, I understand where you are coming from and how frustrating it is to not be able to watch your favorite teams play. We apologize that NBC Sports Chicago notified Comcast and others that it’s ceasing operations. This decision is outside of Comcast’s control and was solely made by NBC Sports Chicago.

We offer a range of alternative content that may offer similar viewing options. Peacock, ESPN, Fox Sports 1, and CBS Sports Network offer a wide variety of sports programming. You can also say “sports” into your Xfinity Voice Remote to find other sports programming.

I understand wanting a credit or refund on your account as well. If this content is not restored to your lineup in the coming weeks, we'll notify customers through email and bill message that credits will be proactively applied to their account.
