Outages

Requesting bill credits for a prolonged outage and severe customer service delay.
My service went completely down for 2 full days due to an external outage, and it took 48 hours just to get a technician dispatched to my home. To make matters worse, I had to spend 3 hours on the phone with customer support trying to get this sorted out.
Because of the severe inconvenience and the total loss of service, I am requesting:
  1. A prorated bill credit for the 2 days my services were completely offline.
  2. A customer service inconvenience credit for the 3 hours spent trapped on phone support.
Please review my account history to verify the outage dates and apply these adjustments to my current billing cycle. Thank you.

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

user_odqzrt Thank you for letting us know about the recent issues you've had with your Xfinity service. I work from home and understand how important it is to have a reliable connection. You can use this link to request a credit for any time you were experiencing service issues and it will be applied to your next bill.

I posted yesterday that my Internet had been out for two days and I had spent three hours on the phone trying to get it figured out before they sent out a Technician on Sunday. This is what he found. My neighbor had Xfinity out to hook up Internet. The technician that hooked up their Internet, unhooked my line and hooked theirs up. This is a complete disregard for customers. The technician that came out yesterday put in a split and hooked both lines up. This should haven’t done the first time and I would not have lost Internet or my time trying to figure this out as a result I will be canceling my Xfinity terrible that you have someone working there that doesn’t know his job.

user_odqzrt Thanks for letting us know what the cause was, and we certainly don't expect that kind of situation to happen with installs at any point. Sorry to hear this poor unexpected experience has also caused you to leave us as we do appreciate our customers. Have you gotten the account adjusted for the downtime at this point, or is that something we can assist you with getting? We certainly don't want you paying for services that were down at any point for something that we did, and I'm happy to assist with the adjustment if needed.

user_odqzrt I would be happy to make that adjustment for you. I'll need to locate and authenticate the account to get it applied for you with account information in DM.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary
