Report phone scam

Voice message received:

[Edited: Possible Scam Number] Deposited a new message:
"Hello, Comcast Xfinity calling. The 50% discount on your monthly bill has been deleted, and your account is now being flagged for a $1000 compliance penalty. Immediate response is required. Call us now using your caller ID before the penalty activates."

If you have gotten a call claiming to be from Comcast asking you to buy gift cards or paying upfront for six months or more in exchange for 50% off your bill the FTC is well aware of this scam.  If you get a call like this you can report it to:     https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/#/
The FTC also has a great webpage on Scams.  Please check it out as well.
For Target Gift Cards:
Call 1 (800) 544-2943 and follow Target’s instructions. 
Keep a copy of the Target gift card or your store receipt.
Please help to stop the spread of this kind of fraud.

I just received the same potential spam voice mail as above.  Exactly to the word.   This must be a scam.

That is a known issue @user_bj8n7f That being said, we always want our customers to get the best deal around. I also appreciate you wanting to stay with us as your service provider. Here is a link: https://www.xfinity.com/learn/offers with our current promotions if you wanted to take a look. Just make sure you are logged on to your account to see the promotions available for your account.  You can also set up the services directly from the website. Just received this call today. I thought it was suspicious when it said "you must call back on the number showing on your caller ID immediately"  I hope xfinity does (or have done) a public announcement about this.

@user_hgwmjr The best course of action, in this case, would actually be to report this to our Customer Security Assurance. You can contact them by following this link: https://internetsecurity.xfinity.com/help/report-abuse/.

I just received a call from [Edited: "Malicious Phone Number"]- the person's english wasn't very good, but they introduced themselves saying the phonecall would be monitored and they were calling to offer promotions.   Then they first question they asked is if we had a security system.   I told them to send me an email and hung up.   Very strange

I am getting calls that caller id says XFINITY. I googled and found the same two phone numbers on a website called shouldianswer.com and other callers report these as negative calls. 

The first call is [Edited: "Malicious Phone Number"] was on 9/25/2025 and no message was left on voicemail.
Today I got a call from  [Edited: "Malicious Phone Number"] and the call went to voicemail. A young man says hello angela [Edited: "Personal Information"], then hello  I have a message for angela [Edited: "Personal Information"] and then hung up.
