Requesting Debt Recall: Inaccurate Balance Reported / Equipment Placeholder Issue (Recorded Admission)

I am reaching out to resolve a billing and credit reporting error on my account. Currently, my Xfinity account shows a balance of $326.06, while the third-party collection agency (Sequium Asset Solutions) is reporting only $176 to the credit bureaus. This discrepancy constitutes the reporting of inaccurate data, which is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).
On a call recorded today (Tuesday, March 24, 2026), a supervisor confirmed that $150 of my current balance is a 'placeholder' for equipment I still possess. Despite this, standard phone support is refusing to recall the debt so that I can return the equipment and pay the true service balance of $176 directly to Xfinity.
I have the equipment ready to return and am prepared to pay the $176 balance immediately. However, I will only do so if Xfinity initiates a formal DEBT RECALL from Sequium first, ensuring the inaccurate collection entry is completely deleted from my credit report.
I have a full recording of the supervisor's admissions regarding the 'placeholder' and the final bill amount. I am requesting an escalation to a corporate specialist who can facilitate this recall and correct these reporting errors.
