This company is a nightmare. I canceled my service to move to another state, turned my router in, overpaid my last bill. I was assured last month that I would be refunded in 7 days. No refund, so I called today. The first idiot on the phone told me I owed an early disconnect fee. I explained I absolutely did not because I received a letter from xfinity saying my contract expired. This guy went in circles with me, then told me I needed to be transferred to sales/moving. He transferred me. Then the woman in sales said she doesn't handle this issue, it's billing. (This is exactly what I argued with the idiot before he transferred me, btw.) Another wait time of over 20 minutes, so I requested a callback. New guy insists the refund is on the way. I just checked, but the charge is still on my account.

Btw, save your chat transcripts because this company will gaslight tf out of you.

I JUST WANT TO BE DONE THIS AWFUL COMPANY

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

Hey there, user_75glsk! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us with your recent experience of cancelling your services due to moving to a different state. Our goal is to prevent any inadequate experience for both current and former members. Once you have made a payment on your last billing statement, any overpaid amount will be refunded, prorated from the date when you cancelled services. Do you recall if your billing cycle date is from the beginning of the month or in the middle of the month?

I do not owe you any money. You owe ME money, and I'm so sick of having to explain this to your support team. I cancelled my subscription February 12 and returned the router February 13. You're trying to charge me for breaking my contract, but I had it for over a year, and YOUR COMPANY sent me a letter saying my contract had ended.

REFUND MY MONEY.

This is the worst support I've ever experienced. I was promised the charge for "breaking the contract" was taken off and that my refund would get to me last week. So sick of this.

@user_75glsk Thanks for explaining. The ETF fees are reversed when a customer restarts the service they are applied to. Did you restart the service to have them reversed?

I no longer want or use Xfinity for all these reasons listed above, so I do not need to restart the service! REFUND MY MONEY

@user_75glsk We understand. If there is a credit balance after the ETF fees, it will be refunded to the payment method that was used. See the details here https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/refunds-from-xfinity. If there is no credit, and there is a balance due from an ETF, it is expected to be paid as promised. The only way to reverse ETF fees is by restarting service.
