Sent to collections

Who do I speak to in regards to a false debt? I was sent to collections for something I have proof of a representative saying he refunded me on. Now I’m finding out I was sent to collections without Xfinity even telling me I had an unpaid bill. If this matter can’t be taken care of on Xfinity then I will look into small claims court. Please treat this as a formal dispute under the FCRA.

The concern is not "Community Center" help related............ Topic moved here to the proper help section, and for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

I have this same issue but do not see a direct message option anywhere, just the chat box or go to a store. My service ended last year and now I see on my credit report this account is at collections. Have gone to the store and called numerous xfinity numbers but no one understands your collections process nor can help

Sorry to hear about the difficulty you've had trying to get assistance with this matter. I can certainly understand how concerning it would be to discover a collection account on your credit report and to take steps to get clear answers, but to get the runaround. That is not the experience we want for our customers, and we would like the opportunity to turn this around. So that we can securely access and authenticate your account. Please send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account; we'd be more than happy to look into this for you. You can see how to send us a direct message here: https://forums.xfinity.com/conversations/guidelines/how-to-direct-messaging-within-the-forum/697ba1e570934d009185c514

Greetings @user_bxxuvl, you have come to the right place for help! We can certainly look into this for you. Just send our team a direct message with your full name, the name listed on the account (if different), and the service address associated with your account.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
 Click "Sign In" if necessary
 Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
 - As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
 - An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
 Press Enter to send it.
