Service was not properly canceled after move
Hello,
I’m looking for help resolving an ongoing billing issue after canceling my Xfinity service.
I moved out on May 1 and stopped using the service at my former address in Chicago. I paid what I was told was my remaining balance of $96.25 on June 2. However, I continued to see additional bills in my account throughout June and July, even after being assured that the service would be canceled.
On June 10 at 12:27 p.m. CT, I had a 19-minute phone call with an Xfinity representative. She told me that the service would be ended and that I could ignore the balance still showing in my online account.
Despite that assurance, on July 27, I continued receiving emails and text messages stating that I owe additional money. I have not lived at the address or used the service since May 1.
Please review my account, confirm that the service has been canceled effective May 1, remove any charges assessed after that date, and provide written confirmation that my account has a zero balance and will not be sent to collections.
I can provide my former service address and account information privately to an Xfinity representative.

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "Direct Messaging" icon
Click the "Start new conversation" (pencil and paper) icon
The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there
- As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list
- An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line
Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window
Press Enter to send it.
