"Sorry, Something Unexpected Happened"- Can't Pay Bill

Hi,

I used my debit card to pay for NOW Internet. My debit card expired, so I got a new debit card. I put in the new debit card (it has the same number, but different exp. and code) into my payment methods. Since this happened, absolutely nothing has gone through. I just keep getting the "Sorry, Something Unexpected Happened" error message. I happen to also be moving, and I thought that needing to cancel and then buy the internet again for the new address would surely fix whatever error was going on, but nope. Can't buy an entirely new internet package with the card that works literally everywhere else.

I know the easy solution is get a new card, because of circumstances that aren't important (moved away from my bank) it is much much harder for me to do that than normal. This is the one card I do have. Is there ANY way to make it work?

Good morning @user_name_for_xfinity. Do you currently have NOW internet or residential internet service? Our team is very limited on what support we can provide for NOW accounts.

No, I cancelled it for the move. I would like to buy it again, (like you have to for a move, since NOW is tied to addresses) but (like when I was trying to pay my bill before I cancelled), am only receiving the error message. If you have any advice on how to fix this, I would appreciate it- thanks.

@XfinityDena Yes. I was told I would get sent a direct link to pay for it, which just did not happen, so I thought I would try another customer service avenue

Thanks for confirming. We would not be able to assist with providing a payment link for you for NOW services. I would recommend going back to the NOW portal and submitting a chat. Please let us know if run into any issues.
