Still being charged after canceling and returning equipment on May 18, 2026
After canceling my service and returning my equipment on May 18, 2026 I am still being billed for service that would be impossible for me to use. I returned to the Xfinity store twice and they confirmed that the service had been canceled and the equipment was returned. I continued to get billed. I called Xfinity twice and the woman I spoke with updated the conversation in the system and told me that it was all cleared up. I continued to be billed monthly until it reached $857.00 and then was notified that Xfinity had canceled my service. Xfinity has now turned the account over to a collection agency and is threatening to trash my credit report. I have contacted the three government agencies to file complaints ( two federal and one with the state of Georgia) but they won’t let me file a complaint until Xfinity trashes my credit report. Over the six years of having my service with Xfinity I have paid them over $19,000 and was never late on a payment. Now they are trashing my credit report.
There are much better options out there than Xfinity. Buyer beware!
