The purpose of this dispute is an invalid charge of $61.07

The purpose of this dispute is an invalid charge of $61.07 erroneously assigned to the collection agency Sequium Asset Solutions (Reference: [Edited: "Personal Information"]). My Comcast account was formally cancelled and closed more than 3 years ago. I am attaching as evidence the collection email received and my service records with AT&T at my residence, which prove that I had already switched to another internet provider at that time. I demand that Comcast immediately recall this account from collections, update the balance to zero, and provide written confirmation that there is no debt pending to prevent any negative impact on my credit history."

Concern moved here to the Billing help section for greater exposure to Comcast corporate employees (The Digital Care Team) for assistance.

I properly returned the Xfinity modem (and any other rented equipment) by dropping it off at an Xfinity terminal / return location on or about [approximate date of return]. I have a receipt confirming the drop-off. My Xfinity account currently shows a $0 balance with a charge-off. Despite the documented return, the equipment charge was never properly cleared, leading to the charge-off and referral to Sequium Asset Solutions. I have received collection communications from Sequium regarding this matter. Requested actions
Please:
  1. Investigate and confirm that the modem/equipment was received and properly credited to my account.
  2. Reverse any unreturned-equipment charges and clear the charge-off status.
  3. Immediately recall the account from Sequium Asset Solutions (or any other collection agency) and instruct them to cease all collection activity.
  4. Ensure that no negative information is reported to the credit bureaus (or that any existing reporting is deleted/updated to show a zero balance and paid/closed status).
  5. Provide written confirmation of the resolution, including confirmation that the equipment has been marked as returned and the account is closed with a zero balance.
