What a monopoly of a company.

This all started for me about 2 years ago when I moved, the first experience I had with Xfinity, I did the whole schedule a move, moved and had internet for two weeks until someone moved into my old place.  In their infinite wisdom Xfinity double charged me for two accounts (the old and the new) and then provided no help for two months while I was without internet access (Which is important to what I do for a living).  So after deciding that was my fault, because they conveniently "Couldn't find records".

So, after all this I was like whatever, I'm out almost 500 dollars but I'll let it go.  Thinking that would be the end to my problems, unfortunately for me Xfinity wants to wage a war on the little guy.  After this complaint the amount of issues I've had have skyrocketed.  They overcharge me every month, despite telling me they'll lower my bill (A multitude of times, both over the phone and chat support I even got screenshots)  I make the same payments of roughly 250 every month ( that's the price they've promised to lower 3 times now, last time they tried to sign me up for a mobile line without my knowledge or consent. \

My internet never consistently works, I'd say roughly 4 out of 7 times a week I have to restart the equipment because its so old, I cant remember the exact xfinity model but I do know it cant even hit the bandwidth speed I pay for and despite 4 requests and trying different mailing addresses I still have the old one.  Now theoretically, you can buy your own modem, xfinity is just gonna scapegoat every problem you have as a "Your equipment problem.

My absolute favorite thing is that predatory "Catch up offer" oh your bill is behind?  Sign this and we'll tell you we'll charge you 50 a month but the next payment is gonna be surprise the full amount because we're greedy like that.  Yet they game their own system to have you accept that offer.  My payment was somehow 100, over what it normally was.  Couldn't get any answer from the outsourced chat support other than being transferred like 40 times.

Finally, my internet speeds for what I pay is supposed to be the gigabit plan at least the original contract, they keep making unapproved changes to my account so I'm not entirely sure what it is now) but i've never even hit close to anywhere near that.  The best speed I've ever gotten was roughly 410 mbps, which is nowhere close to 1gbps I pay for every month.  So at 250 rough payment for a bill, and what's supposed to be 1gbps speed internet would be 4 dollars every mbps.  So while I pay for that access I get throttled for like 60 percent and still have to pay the entire bill.

This company [Edited: "Language"], they'll tell you on this https://www.xfinity.com/hub/internet/what-is-gigabit-internet

That fiber and coax cables are the same and can transfer speeds equally, this is a bold face lie.  I won't get into it too much but DOCSIS and FTTH are not the same, google it if you so prefer.

Ultimately I doubt this will get me anywhere because of how this company works, so here's my advice.  You have 30 days to opt out of the arbitration agreement xfinity tries to make you sign, they don't tell you that and if you do opt out they'll probably pretend you didn't.  Do it anyways, that way you can have some legal protections as a consumer.

Other than that, I'd recommend AT&T fiber, vistanet, verizon, and even hughesnet, but be careful, once you sign up they'll tell you every lie in the book to keep you as a customer.
