Wifi gateway

Why are new customers getting free gateways but as a loyal customer, I am being charged a monthly fee. Verizon has contacted us and it appears they will give us a free gateway and the internet is cheaper.

user_654ca4,  Hi there! Thanks for taking the time out of your Thursday to reach out. We truly appreciate your loyalty just as much as new customers. Right now, we are offering 5-year guaranteed plans. These new plans include unlimited data and the best-in-class Xfinity Gateway at one simple, monthly price. There’s no annual contract required. You also have the freedom and flexibility to cancel at any time without penalty! 😀 To get you started on a new plan that includes the gateway rental,

please send us a direct message with your first/last name and full address. You can start by clicking the "direct message" icon in the upper right page of our forum page. Once you click on that, input our shared handle Xfinity Support to send us a direct message.

user_654ca4  We would need to look into your account for any new promotions to see if they have the free modem offer. I believe the 5-year plans do that, but we need to check your account to provide you with more accurate information.

To send a direct message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, and select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a Direct Message.

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "direct messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
