Xfinity Contract Discount Not Being Applied to Contract's First Month

I have a contract discount that started 8-21-24.  The  billing for 8-21-24 was already created before the contract discount started so the first month (8-21-24 to 9-20-24) did not get the discount.  When the bill for 9-21-24 to 10-20-24 was created, the first month's contract discount did not get credited to that bill either.  Why can't the first month of a contract discount get the contract discount?

You don't say what the discount is for, but if it's for autopay and ecobill, those don't kick in until the 3rd bill or 45 days.

The discount is for having a 2 year Xfinity service contract.  I also changed the internet speed on 8-10-24.  The bill for 9-21-24 to 10-20-24 gave me a credit for the reduced internet speed for the date range 8-10-24 to 9-20-24.  I am hoping that the future bill for 10-21-24 to 11-20-24 will give me the contract discount credit for the contract's first month (8-21-24 to 9-20-24).

Hello user_53h6fz So based on what you described, the credit amount was correct, as we do bill in advance and prorate changes from the date they occurred( in your case 10 August 2024) to the end of that billing period( the 20th)  so this was applied correctly.

Yes, the credit for the reduced internet speed (8-10-24 to 9-20-24) was applied correctly.  I am still waiting for the first month's contract discount (8-21-24 to 9-20-24) credit to be applied.

If you made changes in the middle of your billing cycle since we build a month in advance you won't see the changes until your next billing cycle and it may take a couple of bill cycles for you to see your normal billing that you agreed to

Thanks for the information.  The billing for 9-21-24 to 10-20-24 (2nd month of contract) has the contract discount for that month.  I will update this conversation after I receive the billing for 10-21-24 to 11-20-24.  Hopefully it will have the contract discount credit for 8-21-24 to 9-20-24 (1st month of contract).
