Are we losing YES Network now that they are joining with MSG to form Gotham?
Does anyone know if YES network is now going away since they joined with MSG to form Gotham? In the old YES network app (like the old MSG app when we had it) there was a way to sign in with your cable provider. But now with the new Gotham app, there is no option for sign in with Xfinity even for the Yankees and YES network. I reached out to Gotham and got a response that Xfinity is not a provider but I should reach out to Xfinity if I want YES and MSG. I am really hoping we are not going to lose YES network too as losing all local sports may be too much to keep subscribing.

I called the Gotham Sports app yesterday. All, but Comcast has changed to the new app.
It still can be free. You still have to use your E-mail and password to sign just like with the Yes app. But Comcast has to talk
to Gotham. They do not know about the change. Most or all, the others cable companies and Direct Tv
have signed up so far but not Comcast.

Hey there, user_bm2211, thanks for reaching out through Xfinity Forums regarding the YES Network. Our content teams are constantly working to bring you the best and widest variety of programming possible. In some cases, certain factors such as licensing or contract agreements prevent us from carrying particular television episodes, series, apps, or even channels.
We’re always evaluating what we offer as our customer’s needs change, so this content may become available in the future. We apologize for the inconvenience.

I should be able to get YES streaming free on the Gotham app with my Comcast Xfinity subscription and pay the P:previous MSG+ $29.99 monthly fee out of my pocket to add MSG that Xfinty refuses to provide. For some reason i don’t think it will work like that and Xfitity customer will be forced to double dip at $41.99 $22 more for YES if they want MSG too.

When will Comcast customers have access to the Gotham app? We had access to the YES app. We should have access to the Gotham app as well. This seems quite unfair, and Comast seems to be acting like this is news to them when all the other major providers are available and were aware.

I just called and updated my account with xfinity and told them I only want a plan that has access to YES. They locked me into a one year agreement and now I can’t get YES because it changed to GOTHAM.

This is absolute criminal behavior. You're stealing from your customers by letting this problem linger this long without resolution.
I already have major reservations about your shoddy service and horrible customer service. Unfortunately, I have no other options where I live.
After 20+ years you are still finding ways to make me think so much less of you.
You've been granted a monopoly and you know it. That's what allows you to continue to treat your customers like garbage and get away with it.
This is not the first time you've pulled a stunt like this. For what you charge, this should have been taken care of and should work flawlessly by now.
Perhaps a class action lawsuit against Comcast, Yes, and Gotham sports app is required.
Fix this issue and stop stealing from your customers.

By the way, Xfinity. Optimum/Altice now has a new to deal with MSG where they don’t have to put MSG on the lower tears where the little old ladies complain about sports raising their bill. You should look into getting the same deal done and getting MSG back on for us who are willing to pay for it And are tired of paying $29 a month with the Gotham Sports app It would still be far cheaper for MSG to be restored to the higher Xfinity tears and those customers getting access to MSG and Yes for free This on the Gotham Sports app. Also work on gettin SNY Streamingaccess Out of home for your customers.

Here we are 2 weeks since my post above and....
Nothing.
It's still spring training so, some probably don't care all that much.
Come opening day, that will change. Currently, there is no way to watch yes unless you're watching through a cable box or on your home network.
Unacceptable Comcast. This is not 1990. People expect more for the enormous fees we pay.
Don't reply with an apology, fix the [Edited: "Language"] problem. Stop stealing from people.

Time to cancel my high speed Internet service and cable and switch to DirecTV so that my family can watch the Yankees. It’s not like they’ve lowered the monthly cost for losing this channel. I’m not going to continue not being able to watch the games!

Here we are, less than 2 weeks from opening day and Comcast has done nothing in regard to this. There have been multiple threads here about yes and this Gotham app nonsense going back months and no changes have been made to rectify the situation.
As far as I'm concerned, you're offering an incomplete service. How much will you refund your customers to make up for the inconvenience of your incompetence and lack of any care regarding the service you provide for them?
Will you be cutting the regional sports fees in half since you're only offering half the service that people expect regarding them in the modern viewing age?
There's no excuse for this.
The only reason is greed and a lack of caring about your customer base.

Since Comcast isn't signing on with Gotham Sports and I have no other option such as Fios. I am canceling TV and go with [Edited: Soliciting]. THE ONLY REASON I STILL HAVE CABLE TV WAS FOR ACCESS TO THE YES NETWORK.

I’m furious that Comcast has not resolved this issue and offered the Gotham app . I refuse to go the entire baseball season and not be able to stream Yankee games, especially given the hefty bill I pay them every month . One of the only reasons I stayed was because of the YES channel . It’s definitely time to cancel all cable and go strictly streaming.

TIME TO CORD CUT CABLE FOR EVER NOW
It feels like Comcast pulls this every few years. If they drop YES or refuse to sign on with Gotham Sports App I'm DONE with this company.
It's CHEAPER to DROP CABLE.
You can pick and choose anything you want to watch and drop it in a month, and get more deals on streaming services.
It's cheaper to buy Gotham Sports than it is to put up with this [Edited: Language] every year.

Do the people that need to see posts like this ever actually look at or monitor them? My monthly bill recently went up to $345 and it looks like I'll be getting less! Unreal!!!!!!!!!! But I have access to 50 useless Music Choice Channels.
