BAIT AND SWITCH TACTICS

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the recent changes to my Xfinity account and the unsatisfactory customer service I received. I recently contacted your customer service department with the intent to reduce my monthly bill while keeping all of the channels I previously had. During that call, I was provided with a new rate under a two -year agreement. I explicitly asked that all my current channels remain in place, and I was assured this would be the case.   However, I later discovered that the NFL package - one of the key parts of my viewing experience- had been removed from the plan.  When I called back to address this issue, I was met with no resolution and was informed that to regain the NFLPackage, I would not have to pay an additional $9.95 per month.  This is unacceptable. I made my decision to enter a two-year contract based on the clear understanding that nothing would be removed from my service. The removal of the NFL package , followed by the demand for additional payment to get it back, is not only misleading but feels like a bait and switch tactic.

I am requesting that this issue be corrected immediately by reinstating the NFL package at no additional charge, as was originally agreed upon.  If this cannot be resolved fairly, I will be left with no choice but to explore alternative service providers and consider filing a formal complaint with the appropriate regulatory bodies.   I hope Xfinty will choose to do the right thing and honor the original agreement made during my call.

user_q830a7 Thanks for reaching out to us about a recent package change on your account, and not getting the expected service with the repackage. I would be happy to help in any way I can to get this fixed for you.

Can you send us a direct message with your full name, name of account holder (if different), and service address please?

To send a "Direct Message" to Xfinity Support:

Click "Sign In" if necessary

Click the "Direct Messaging" icon (speech bubble)

Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon

The "To:" line prompts you to "Type the name of a person". Instead, type "Xfinity Support" there

As you are typing a drop-down list appears. Select "Xfinity Support" from that list

An "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

Type your message in the text area near the bottom of the window

Press Enter to send it
