Bally Sports
How about an update on the Bally Sports situation? I’m ready to switch providers without any good news. Good news doesn’t include account credits either…

Hello, user_mbxx3z! Thanks for reaching out about the loss of Diamond Sports Group (DSG) programming, which includes Bally Sports regional sports networks. This programming is currently unavailable as our agreement with DSG has expired. Comcast pays programmers to bring our customers the entertainment, information, and sports they want. We work to negotiate fair terms in order to ensure the greatest value for customers given all the ways content can be accessed today. We’ve been flexible with DSG, who is in bankruptcy proceedings, but have been unable to reach an agreement that’s fair for our customers. We know unexpected changes to your TV lineup can be frustrating, and we apologize for any inconvenience. For more information, visit

The credit is only for Bally Sports. Thee are probably other RSN's included in that fee.

My Opinion:
If you’re done negotiating with Bally Sports why don’t you look into an alternative for your customers (local programming or get somebody else to telecast the sports teams).
My biggest complaint is it’s big corporate fighting over MONEY not the customers the customers are the one’s suffering not the big corporate leaders.
Also the $10.00 credit isn’t the answer.
I REFUSE to pay for a streaming service when I should be getting it through my cable provider.
Also it’s only XFINITY it seems Spectrum, Dish Network, etc.
managed keep Bally Sports which are much smaller providers.
If the smaller companies were able to come up with an agreement it makes it look like corporate greed to me.

This situation is inexcusable. Maybe a lack of this service means little to either Bally or Comcast, but to people who have been loyal to both of them for many years it is a betrayal of that loyalty. Now if we local sports fans move to another provider they may mismanage their agreement in a couple years. In the end, it just costs users more and more. It appears that harsh government regulations will ultimately keep this from happening. Bally's went bankrupt and Comcast is expensive and poorly managed. No wonder we are where we are! Inexcusable!

I am so sick of xfinity. Grow a pair and negotiate with Bally and return baseball to the fans! Stop being money hungry and give the customers what they want. If not, BYE BYE xfinity.

In a recent bankruptcy court hearing, Bally did mention they are in talks with Comcast again. I think general speculation is that this is a last-ditch effort to at least get SOME money, and will almost certainly involve it moving to a higher tier. In other words, the 0.1% who actually watch it will have to pay more. Even if they end up on normal tiers, expect the RSN fee to go up. Either way, YOU WILL PAY MORE!

Even if you have a contract with Comcast to get a lower price, if you read the fine print, you basically have no rights. They can add/remove features and channels.

Comcast has come to a deal with Bally, but it comes at a cost. You will will need to have the Ultimate TV package to get it. Don't blame Comcast. If you love sports, stop expecting everyone else to subsidize your true costs.

So let me get this straight—I already am currently a sports package subscriber, yet Comcast is now telling me that I have make a significant upgrade in plan to get Bally, another sports channel!? That's it, I have had it.
