Can’t record channels that are part of my channel pkg.

I just added “more sports” to my subscription yet I get the “channel subscription required to record channel” message. Suggestions?

Update: I rebooted my system and I can record everything. But I don’t like the fact that I can no longer record a channel by time increments; only an entire program.

Hello @stevet7, thank you for taking the time to leave a post. Sorry to hear you ran into trouble recording channels after adding the More Sports package. I can certainly understand how frustrating that must have been, especially when you're paying for channels that should be included with your subscription. I'm glad to hear that rebooting your equipment resolved the recording issue and that you're now able to record those channels successfully. Thank you for sharing that update as well, as it may help other customers who encounter a similar issue.

Regarding your concern about recording by specific channel time increments, I completely understand why that change would be disappointing if it was a feature you regularly used. As of August 2026, the ability to create new recordings based on specific channel time increments has been removed. Customers can now create recordings only for entire programs, including individual episodes and series recordings. Previously recorded channel-based recordings will remain accessible, but any new recordings must be set up using the program-based recording options.

For additional information and instructions on recording programs with X1, I've included an article below for reference. Please let us know if you have any other questions. We're always happy to help.
