Cardinals not being broadcast in Memphis, TN

Almost a month into the 2025 baseball season and I have yet to see one St. Louis Cardinals game televised on Xfinity in Memphis, TN. All that is offered is the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds. I've reached out to both FanDuel and Xfinity and have received no response from either party. I'm subscribed to the Ultimate tier which apparently doesn't make any difference in the Cardinals triple-A team home city. How about offering the FanDuel Sports Midwest channel during the baseball season?

Well, according to MLB.tv, Memphis is in the Cardinals' "local broadcast zone" (along with the Braves and Reds), so you should have access to FanDuel Sports Midwest.

I find it hard to believe that you don't get the channel, as it also includes the Memphis Grizzlies. How did people with Xfinity in Memphis watch Grizzlies games?

You are correct that we are in the Cardinals local broadcast zone. However, all of our games are rebroadcast from FanDuel Sports Midwest onto either FanDuel Sports South or FanDuel Sports Southeast. In the past programming congestion was so bad that they were broadcasting some of the games on a standard definition alternate channel. Over the past few years as Bally Sports some of the games would be advertised to be shown but never aired. In Memphis we're in the TV market to see the St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves, Cincinnati Reds, Memphis Grizzlies, and Nashville Predators.  Realignment to the Midwest TV sports market would make more sense in the Mid-South.

@user_vpz1yz I doubt we'll get FanDuel Sports Midwest, because that channel also carries St. Louis Blues hockey games, and that would conflict with the Nashville Predators.

Supposedly, the Cardinals games are available on "FanDuel Sports Southeast Extra", but I can't find that channel on my guide. Xfinity, a little help for your subscribers in Memphis, please?

@user_es3se4 - they would do what NBC (formerly Fox) Sports Bay Area and California do. Everybody in San Francisco has to get both, as one has the baseball Giants and the other the baseball Athletics and NHL Sharks. However, the one with the Giants has the NBA Warriors, while the other has the NBA Kings, and the NBA will not allow anyone to get both sets of games, so each has a separate version of its feed with the NBA games removed - i.e. people in the "Warriors region" get the version of NBC Sports California without the Kings games, and people in the "Kings region" get the version of NBC Sports Bay Area without the Warriors games.

As for the Cardinals, maybe the channel is under some crazy name - try going to the guide and searching for "cardinals" (press 2, 2, 7, 3, and so on) to see if any games show up.
