The channel lineup, also known as channel neighborhoods or Master Channel Lineup (MCLU), makes it easier for our customers to find their favorite shows by grouping similar content together, beginning with channel 1000. You can review information on Grouped Channels on our Xfinity Forums page.
The channels you are referring to in the 700s-800s are not grouped or genre-specific channels. Channels are not able to be changed. You do have the option of adding specific channels/networks to your X1 Video Favorites. Steps can be found on our 'Add a channel to your Favorites in the X1 guide' support page. Once channels have been added you can view our 'Filter your X1 on-screen guide' support page so show your favorite added programming.
