CW channel audio problems

The CW channel has issues during the programs. Sounds over compressed then there’s an annoying short spike in volume. This only happens on the CW channel during the programs. Commercials seem fine. Audio Description is off and I’m only using the Samsung TV speaker..

Good day Dshartle 👋 I'm glad you took the time to reach out and let us know what's going on as I know exactly how annoying it is to have one of my favorite channels barely understandable because of audio issues! Know you're in the right place for help, and we can definitely try some things to get that back in the clear 👍

To start, if the problem is only happening on the CW network from what you've noticed, can you try toggling Secondary Audio Programming (SAP) on/off via the X1 remote and see of that alters the audio at all? If that doesn't work, try unplugging your equipment directly for about 10 seconds and plugging it back in.

Thanks for the help. Only on the CW channel I have to turn Audio Decriptions on.  For whatever reason that switches SAP to Spanish, but still leaves the show speaking English. It fixes the problem, but when switching to another channel I have to switch SAP back to English and turn off Audio Description. The root of the problem seems to be with the audio engineers at CW.

Still annoying, but it’s a fix. Thanks

That is great to hear that you found a workaround @Dshartle, and hopefully the channel will work properly soon.
