Discovery Channel not appearing on Channel 48 at YOTEL Boston hotel

Earlier in August 2026, I stayed at the YOTEL Boston hotel in Massachusetts.  I wanted to see Shark Week on the Discovery Channel.  The Discovery Channel was assigned to the hotel TV's Channel 48, but nothing appeared on the screen, just a dark image.  I also could not locate the History Channel.  When I informed the hotel about the problem, I was informed Comcast Xfinity was the provider and that the hotel would reach out to the company to resolve the issue.  However, during my entire stay, the Discovery Channel remained blank on Channel 48.  Comcast Xfinity, please assist the hotel in reestablishing the Discovery Channel service.  Thanks.

Good Morning, @user_a97h1i! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Xfinity Forums. I am very sorry to hear about the channels not working while staying in the hotel, it certainly is not what we want to hear. We would need to work directly with the Hotel account manager to further troubleshoot the signal concerns, and it does sound like they were going to work on reaching out to troubleshoot with us to ensure the channels are available. Please let us know if you have any other questions/concerns, we are happy to help!

@XfinityAdrienne Thank you for responding!  To be fair, I believe the hotel was trying to contact Xfinity on my problem with Channel 48 during my stay but was unable to resolve it.  Please do have the Xfinity team reach out to the hotel to fix the problem with the Discovery Channel on Channel 48 and also the History Channel not showing.  The hotel's contact information is listed at https://www.yotel.com/en/hotels/yotel-boston .  The fix is too late to help me, but it will be "Comcastic" for future hotel guests.

You're welcome, @user_a97h1i! The hotel will work directly with our company to get that fixed. We may have needed to open a ticket or set up a visit to have them repaired so it could not be completed during your stay. I apologize you were not able to watch the programming you wanted but am confident that will be fixed.
