Favorites list includes unchosen favorites

The main TV connects to an X1 box.  A secondary TV uses a Roku to run the Xfinity Stream app.

When choosing a favorite on the main TV, say Marquee 202, the main TV only shows channel 202 in the favorites list.  However, via the Xfinity Stream app, channels 202 and 1254 (another Marquee channel) are both added to the favorites list.  When viewing channel 1254 on the main TV, it indicates that it has been set to favorite.  There seems to be a bug that sets all channels with the same name to favorite when choosing one. 

I've tested removing 1254 from the favorite list (via the xfinity stream app) and it also removes channel 202.  On the main TV, this isn't an issue all since it only reflects the channel that was actually favorited, but via the xfinity steam app, the favorites list has grown exponentially and extremely cumbersome, since every channel favorited also returns all associated channels.

Is there a fix or workaround?
