I can't watch multiple channels, including channel 7 news!

I turned on channel 7 to watch a show, only to find out I can't watch it due to contract issues between snips and xfinity. This is a local news station! I pay for it! What [Edited: "Language"] is going on?!?!

Thank you for posting on our community forums, dst41. On March 31, 2026, at 5:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET), Comcast’s agreement with E. W. Scripps to carry its programming expired. As a result, E. W. Scripps’s programming can no longer be carried by Xfinity or Comcast Business, including any related programming on Xfinity Stream and On Demand. A number of reasonable offers have been made that E. W. Scripps, the owner of these local broadcast stations, has not accepted. That is the reason why the channel is not available. My sincerest apologies. For the full list of affected programming in your area, see xfinity.com/programmingchanges

BUT, to have taken this action, in over 20 states and with multiple different Networks, without ANY FOREWARNING to your paying customers is UNACCEPTABLE, period!  Comcast/Xfinity owes all customers in all markets that lost channels without forewarning a refund!

I am stunned at such a huge loss and feel helpless.  ABC Channel 7 is the primary channel we watch.  I pay over $400 a month for my xfinity services.  I cannot imagine Xfinity cannot afford to renew the contract with Scrippts WITHOUT increasing my monthly cost.  This is a ridiculous situation.  When will this be resolved?
