Installed New Xfinity Box, Lost many recordings

I recently changed my programming plan with Xfinity.  They sent me a new set-top DVR box.  After setting it up, I lost many recordings.  I still have some recordings, and I can see those recordings on my phone using the Xfinity Streaming app.  So that would mean that we have the Xfinity Cloud DVR.  Would the other recordings be on the old cable box?

Also when switching the program plan, I saw no mention of the Cloud DVR, and the default I selected was 20 GB.  Then on the old box, we got a notice that we did not have enough space, and I agreed to pay $10/month for upgraded DVR space.  I can't recall storage volume I upgraded to, but possibly that was upgrading to the Cloud Storage. 

So to recover old recordings do I need to put the old DVR box back on the system, and somehow transfer those programs to the Cloud DVR?
