Local Philly NBC Channel (NBC10) Pixelating

Over the past day, the local NBC10 affiliate feed has been pixelating.  It's appearing on the linear QAM feed as well as the IP based Xfinity Stream app.  My neighbors using Xfinity are also seeing it.  Signal levels are fine on all my equipment and as I mentioned this appears to only be happening with NBC10 on linear cable QAM as well as the internet streamed IP app.  Everything seems to be pointing towards the feed directly from NBC or from Comcast / Xfinity.

I do not need to troubleshoot my equipment as it's not coming from my side.  I just don't know how widespread beyond my neighborhood the issue may be

The issue appears to have cleared sometime during the day yesterday ... at least for now.

And ... as this afternoon 7/16, the same problem is back.  NBC10, linear QAM cable and stream app IP.  Neighbors also seeing it ... all different equipment and different computers and streaming devices

Brocktoon I'm truly sorry to hear that your local NBC10 affiliate feed has been pixelating, especially since it's happening on both your linear QAM and the Xfinity Stream app, and your neighbors are experiencing it too. It's completely understandable that you're looking for a solution, especially when it seems to be an issue beyond your equipment. You've done a great job of narrowing down the possibilities.

To help us investigate whether this is a connection issue affecting your specific area or a broader network issue with the NBC10 feed, could you please send us a direct message with your:

  • Full name

  • Full service address

Once we have that, we can look into this further for you.
