NBA League Pass Subscription Not Connecting

I bought a league past subscription for my dad through the NBA website. When we tried to connect his NBA account to Xfinity. Everything seemed fine and it even shows in the NBA app that the account is connected to Xfinity. However, when we tried to watch a Pacers game shortly after, we kept getting a notification saying that we needed to buy a subscription... Which we shouldn't have had to do because the subscription had already been purchased.
