Revise Fearnet or chiller; or create a new cable horror channel

Hello! Im a big fan of horror as many other Comcast customers are and was hoping FEARnet could be revised or chiller. Or a 24/7 horror channel could be created. Each cable has 24/7 content. Like the food network has cooking 24/7 and Cartoon Network has cartoons 24/7 to name a few but there isn’t a 24/7 horror channel anymore and it would be so nice after a long day at work to come home and tune into a full on horror channel like FEARnet used to be! Maybe this could be a premium package or an add-on. Having SYFY is nice but it isn’t full horror and just doesn’t do FEARnet or chiller justice. Please bring the horror back to streaming and cable!

@user_o1yb5e We truly appreciate your time in reaching out to us here on our Xfinity Forums. I'm a huge horror fan myself and a channel like that would be amazing. We appreciate the suggestion and always love when our customers provide feedback such as yours. Hopefully in the future we may be able to offer something like what you are suggesting. You can also say horror movies into your Xfinity Voice remote to find a great selection to choose from with our extensive On Demand library! Have a great day.

Thank you for your candid reply! I understand Xfinity has SYFY and a large collection of movies but it just isn’t the same as a true horror channel. I mentioned FEARnet because it not only offered movies but horror themed bumpers and commercials as well as original programming. It would be awesome if this is something that could be revisited it or at least made into a full channel by maybe Halloween or October of this year and stay around as a 24/7 channel. Maybe even branch off of SYFY and call it SYFY: horror or something like that. Even bringing back Chiller would be better than nothing. I also feel like being Xfinity/Comcast you guys have a way more extensive library of good stuff that this would be easier and more doable as opposed to say a free channel with lesser options. Basically fearnet had it all and it really would be something special to bring it back in someway. Maybe as a streaming option and a channel?  If able please share my question with other Xfinity/ Comcast staff and see if they would like to jump on board and make this a reality. After all it is the 20th anniversary of FEARnet’s launch in 2006. Thank you XfinityBillie

Thank you user_o1yb5e, I am happy to share your ask to bring back fearnet with our teams. It's great to receive suggestions like this to help ensure our customers are receiving the best content. While researching the channel and shows that was offered before it was retired in 2014 I discovered that a lot of content similar is available through Peacock. I don't think that the commercials would also be geared the same way, but it's another option for a way to improve an existing service if we are unable to dig up the retired options with fearnet. If you are a diamond or platinum member you would receive Peacock Premium at no cost, or if you have a internet plan with gigabit speeds and above. Have you been able to check out the horror lineup on Peacock?

I do know of peacock and I have been looking into using my subscription. However having a stand alone horror channel or app would be better if it’s possible. Maybe having both would be an option? I know FEARnet was retired in 2014 , being brought back would be cool but if not, a new channel would be just as nice! From my research many people would like this kind of channel back. I’m not the only one who has wanted this in the past few years . FEARnet mainly was the idea but at least a full on channel. Hopefully it’s something that could be created. Or at least throw the idea out there. Just figured it wouldn’t hurt to ask. Thanks !

@user_o1yb5e I'm not much of a horror fan myself but don't mind a good scare every once in a while. I would be more than happy to review your account to see your member status to see if you qualify for the Peacock subscription.
