Showtime Channels SAP Error

Hello, i am a Spanish Speaker, and i always watch movies in Spanish, the problem is that i was watching the movie The Sandlot on Showtime, and both the info on details section of the Stream app  and the rating bumper at the beginning of the broadcast indicates the movie has a SAP option, but when i turned the SAP on, the movie was still in English, that problem also happened with other movies as well, and the question is, can you please be more honest with the SAP option in future broadcast?

Good morning @user_qlimfx, and thanks for reaching out to us on the Xfinity forums with your issue, I hope this message finds you well. I am sorry to hear about the issues with the program you were trying to watch showing SAP but not having a Spanish audio track, but you have come to the right place for assistance with this. When a program has SAP listed, it does not mean that it specifically has a Spanish audio option. SAP stands for secondary audio programing, which can mean other languages, but it can also be for an audio description track.

@user_0dg7y1 If the Spanish audio option is available but selecting it doesn't actually change the audio to Spanish, there may be an issue with the broadcast feed, the specific program, or the TV box's audio settings.

To help narrow this down, can you let me know:

  • Which channel and program you're watching?
  • Is this happening on just one channel/program or multiple channels?
  • Are you using an X1 TV Box, Xumo Stream Box, or the Xfinity Stream app?

In the meantime, I'd also recommend restarting the TV box and trying the Spanish audio option again after it comes back online.

Once I have those details, I'll be happy to help investigate further.
