Sorry, we're having trouble connecting

I cannot access channel 9, 809, or 1009.  I get "Sorry, we're having trouble connecting" and error code XRE-03059.  I have rebooted the cable box and cable modem several times.

Thank you for reaching out and creating a new post. The XRE-03059 usually results from occasional system issues outside the home. I see you restarted the TV, which is always a good first step. Do you have multiple boxes in the home? If so, are you seeing errors there as well? Have you done the general checks on your cables and connectors to ensure everything is damage free on on tight?

We have checked the cables in the home.  There is only one TV box in our home and the only channels we are having trouble with are WMUR (9, 809, and 1009).  All the other channels are fine.

You said "XRE-03059 usually results from occasional system issues outside the home".  Does that mean you need to send someone over?

Thanks for those details, @KR86. Since the issue is only affecting WMUR on channels 9, 809, and 1009, it may be a channel-specific issue rather than something inside your home.

How long have those channels been giving the XRE-03059 error, and does the error appear on all three WMUR channels? That can help determine the next best step.

The error appears on all 3 WMUR channels.  We first noticed it on 9/12 but we were away for 2 weeks prior to that, so it could have started as early as 8/29.  We are still getting the same error.

KR86 Hmm, I was hoping that you could run a system refresh to see if we can isolate the issue. Thank you so much for all of your time and patience with this process.

  • Remote Button: Press the A button on your remote control to open the Help menu, or go to the Help section in Settings.
  • Voice Control: Press and hold the microphone button on your Xfinity Voice Remote and say "System Refresh" to go straight to the confirmation screen.

Ran a System Refresh and got this error:  There is a video outage in your area.  Unfortunately, a system refresh won't fix this issue.  Check Connection Status for more information on the outage.

So then I went to Connection Status and it only said there would be an upcoming outage on 9/25.

I then went to Connection Status + Troubleshoot TV + Live TV and it suggested I do a Restart.  After the Restart, I still get error XRE-03059 on channels 9, 809, and 1009.
