When are you going to add CHSN to your channel lineup in the Chicagoland area?

If I can't watch Bulls, White Sox or Blackhawks, I will consider cancelling my Xfinity subscription.

@user_bk7vk5 We would hate to lose you as a customer. We apologize for any inconvenience. NBC Sports Chicago has ceased operations and is no longer available.

NBC Sports Chicago notified Comcast and others that it was ceasing operations on September 30, 2024. This decision is outside of Comcast’s control and was solely made by NBC Sports Chicago.

The question asked is- When are you going to add CHSN to your channel lineup in the Chicagoland area? This has nothing to do with NBC Sports Chicago. We want to know, when will Comcast offer the new Network - Chicago Sports Network. Other platforms offer CHSN. What is the issue?

Hi there! We understand your interest in accessing the Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) through Xfinity in the Chicagoland area. As of now, CHSN is not available on Xfinity's channel lineup. This is due to ongoing negotiations between Comcast and CHSN regarding carriage agreements and channel placement.

In the meantime, CHSN is accessible through other platforms. For instance, it's available over-the-air on channels 62.2 and 62.3 in the Chicagoland region, which can be accessed using a digital antenna.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience as we work towards a resolution. If you have further questions or need assistance with alternative viewing options, feel free to reach out.

I’ve been a long time Comcast/Xfinity customer. I am paying extra for a sports package that no longer contains White Sox, Blackhawks and Bulls games, yet I’m getting charged the same rate. This is absolutely ridiculous that Comcast has not made this channel available to its users. And it’s just as incredulous that you are continuing to charge the same rate for Chicago sports without these three teams. I am now considering after many years to cut the cable.

Hi there, user_6rb1qo! Thank you for your feedback that you would like to see CHSN added to our lineup. I will submit that to the lineup team. We're always working to bring you the best and widest variety of programming possible, which is why we regularly review networks based on our customers’ interests. We don’t publicly share information about discussions we could be having about carrying a channel. However, we may let you know in your bill when a particular channel is added to your lineup.

This just goes to show you that comcast doesn't [Edited: "Language"] about it's customers. But they make sure they get those stupid shopping channels. They make deals for everything else all it comes down to is greediness.

Get the deal done with CHSN. The value of your product is greatly diminished

This appears to be a big problem in the negotiations.  Both sides are gonna have to give in a little bit, and I don’t see that happening.

And it may be expanded to Cub fans—rumblings from the blog Awful Announcing are that Comcast will be dropping Marquee amidst negotiations with Sinclair.

Potentially a real bad time to be a sports fan in Chicago.

There are increasingly becoming more TV viewing options besides Xfinity including Amazon boxes, etc. Considering canceling due to lack of consideration for the consumer who enjoys watching both baseball teams play.

I'm beyond upset with you right now, Xfinity. What you are doing does not make any sense.

I see three possible paths here:

1. Do nothing and keep losing subscribers — the worst option, but unfortunately seems like the current path.

2. Drop the sports fee if you’re not going to carry the teams — at least then we’re not being charged for something we’re not getting.

3. Best option: Add CHSN and give us the games they’re paying for.

Xfinity: If you're going to charge us for regional sports, carry the actual regional sports! You’re driving away loyal customers with this kind of move. Enough is enough. We deserve better.

As if I needed another reason ...

Sincerely,

Frustrated White Sox, Bulls and Blackhawks fan.

I pay almost $400 a month to your company, but I haven't been able to watch the Blackhawks all season, and now my husband and son can't watch the White Sox either??? This is RIDICULOUS. In an age where streaming is making people turn away from cable, WHY would you risk losing the customers you have??????

With baseball season underway, I bought an antenna for a relative and 62.2 and 63.3 did not come in.m from Romeoville, IL. WTH.

I'm in Naperville. I have the option to move to Astound. I have my phones w Xfinity mobile as well.

It’s the first Sunday in the baseball season and I cannot watch the Sox. This has gone on tooooo long.

as of today I am researching my way out of Xfinity. That means phones, internet and tv.

Though Xfinity is the most reliable in the area, if I can’t get the Sox and Blackhawks I am out.

I'm not paying $20 a month for an App.

Its BS. And after doing research, I’m one step closer to out the door. This is prob not going to matter to the folks that do matter in these negotiations,  it I do know that I am not the only one. Y’all at Xfinity have grabbed a lot of my income over the years. This is a great injustice to your customers that care about sports.

ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU ARE STILL CHARGING US FOR LOCAL SPORTS.

I’m not a Cubs fan.

The obvious lesson here is that Comcast won’t miss any who move.  And I’m not saying that to be snarky at you.  They don’t care.

Hello user_5q85mi  we do thank you so much for taking the time to reach us here on our Xfinity Forums and adding your voice to the conversation. NBC Sports Chicago has ceased operations as of 30 September 2024, and the new Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) is where games for the Chicago White Sox are available.

The Regional Sports Fee not only covers the broadcast of Major Sports games, but also all local sports teams, including intramural and college-level sports.

Xfinity has had since 9/30/24 to straighten this mess out. Thanks to you people,  we have missed almost a whole season of Blackhawks & Bulls games. Now we are missing the White Sox. Do the greedy pigs at the top realize Chicago is a major market of over 1 million subscribers, or maybe they don't care as long they're getting there money! This better get starighten out soon, or I'm dumping you people!

user_32xocn BC Sports Chicago ceased operations, and the Chicago Bulls, Chicago Blackhawks, and Chicago White Sox are now broadcast on a new Regional Sports Network (RSN) called Chicago Sports Network (CHSN). Currently, both CHSN and over-the-air antenna channels 62.2 and 62.3 aren't available on Xfinity.

I have left Comcast and chosen to try FUBO which is less expensive plusa gives my all Chicago sports. Comcast wants to put CHSN in their highest tier carraige rate which to me seems like they dont care about the Chicago sports fan. Also from what I understand Marquee one regional broadcast companies is also without a guarentee. Shame on you Comcast.
