WPTV-NBC Blocked by Xfinity Without Warning

WPTV-NBC was blocked right in the middle of the Evening News tonight😱🥺 with No Warning and this screen post followed...this is the NBC station serving over 2 million viewers across the entire southern half of Florida!!

BUT, to have taken this action, in over 20 states and with multiple different Networks, without ANY FOREWARNING to your paying customers is UNACCEPTABLE, period!  Comcast/Xfinity owes all customers in all markets that lost channels without forewarning a refund!

@user_9ac89y We have an ongoing negotiation with E.W. Scripps and our contract with them has expired. Which is why the local Chicago station is not working. As for Law & Order you can search for the show using your voice remote and it will tell you any networks airing episodes or show what is available OnDemand.

 

A number of reasonable offers have been made that E. W. Scripps, the owner of these local broadcast stations, has not accepted. Advanced notice is provided on your bills of possible contract expirations with different networks. If a new agreement with E. W. Scripps, the owner of these broadcast stations is not reached, the impact on current or future charges will be evaluated.
