X1 PROGRAMMING GUIDE HAS A MIND OF ITS OWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot scroll ahead to a future time or date to see what's coming on without the X1 Programming Guide taking control and zipping me right back to the current time and channel I am viewing. Try and try again it refuses to let me look ahead at other times and other channels.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS THING?

IS THIS SOME KIND OF JOKE YOU ARE PLAYING ON US?

How many times must I complain about this before someone performs their job and does something to address the situation?

Hello @L1ngus, thank you for taking the time to leave a post.  I completely understand how frustrating it must be when you’re trying to scroll ahead, and the guide keeps reverting to the current time and channel. That’s definitely not the experience we want for you. Could you confirm if this happens on multiple boxes or just this one?  Also, have you recently restarted your X1 box or checked for any updates? Sometimes a quick refresh can fix guide issues.

I could care less if it happens on other boxes. I don't watch on other boxes. I watch on MY box. It is MY box that the problem is occurring on.

Have I restarted my box? I restart my box more than I flush the toilet. With all the restarting you people request I am lucky I can watch TV at all. This isn't a Windows PC we're talking about - it's a cable TV box.

Check for updates? Isn't that what I have scheduled to happen every night at 0200?

This problem is a recent thing. I have had Comcast for more than three decades and I've been using the X1 Viewing Guide as long as it has been around and this isn't something that has always been standard behavior.

Any more brilliant questions?
