Xfinity Dropping YES Network
Hello,
I am a Comcast Xfinity subscriber who receives TV/Internet through this company. My family has had a subscription for over 20 years, even predating Xfinity with Suscom. I live in the NY area and am a huge sports fan. I would say that a vast majority of the tv I consume is live sporting events. Several years ago I was dismayed to find out that Xfinity had a dispute with MSG Networks over money and that for several years now they have dropped MSG networks from their lineups. Now a similar situation is happening with the YES network which I find despicable. It's despicable because despite losing a channel I assure you my cable bill will remain the same until it eventually goes up. Just recently it jumped from $340 to more than $360 a month. This is a terrible way to treat your customers because you want to get greedy and put YES into a higher paying tier. As such, I'm very strongly considering moving to another provider, most likely Verizon Fios who has the networks I want and has generally cheaper bills. Oh and I'm only writing this because your automated customer service system is a disaster that seems intentionally designed to avoid having live representatives speak with the customers who pay this company. I am beyond frustrated with this situation.
Hopefully it gets resolved soon but I have my doubts,
Phil C.

I can't believe you're doing this again I refuse to pay more money for Yes Network Comcast Xfinity you need to resolve this especially with for the Yankee fans. I might consider dropping Comcast if you do this. I already for the last few years can't watch the rangers of the Knicks if this happens I might have to cancel it all and switch to some other network provider.

If Comcast drops Yes Network despite me being a long time customer I will drop
Comcast and switch to Verizon Fios so I can continue to watch my Yankees games!

As a longtime loyal customer to Comcast Xfinity, who has enjoyed being able to watch New York games on the YES network, to hear the news that YES network is going to be dropped is absurd. I would highly recommend for Comcast Xfinity to come to an agreement with YES network, unless you want to lose countless business and loyal customers. Come to an agreement ASAP!!

Xfinity's pricing has done nothing but rise while quality has steadily declined. We've been with them since the 80's, always paying exorbitant bills on time. This is the last straw. We cannot imagine not being able to watch the Yankees due to corporate greed. We did our due and called making our objection loudly known for what it's worth. May all YES fans unite. Corporate blackmail will not be tolerated.

This is so infuriating! We pay a fortune to have Xfinity at our home in CT and being able to see YES network Yankee games is a big reason we selected Comcast over other providers in our area! Now we're facing another season with a blackout??!? This is too much - I guess its time to look at switching to Frontier for my cable internet, TV and phone services. $350 per month is what we pay you currently. $4,200/year. You say that "nearly 90% of customers watched fewer than 5 of the ~130 Yankees games it aired last season" - well I don't watch 90% of the other nonsense you carry so I guess I'm the stooge here for paying so much. I'm sure I'll save a fortune getting a new provider and streaming the games on the Gotham app. See ya Comcast...

Impossible to get a live agent on the phone which is pathetic. If xfinity drops yes they will lose another long time customer in me. Such a despicable way to go about business

We have EVERYTHING Xfinity, tv, internet, phone, home security and have had xfinity for 18 years. Not having the YES network is the one and only thing that will make us switch. It will be a major undertaking for my household, but we will not pay everything we pay without the Yankees. Please resolve!

Thank you COMCAST for confirming that you are only interested in your Corporate GREED and could care less about Yankees fans. Keeping the Mets SNY Channel on basic cable underscores how underhanded your $business$ practices are. You charge too much anyway. Goodbye Xfinity!

Comcast wants to take YES off of the lower tier subscriptions. If those customers want YES they would have to pay for a higher tier that carries YES. But YES doesn’t want that. If you are paying that much for Xfinity you are most likely in a high tier that would continue to include YES.
YES is pushing the Gotham app to watch games. But guess what? Gotham will charge at least 20.00 per month to subscribe to just the YES network. Except, that’s all you will get. At least in a Comcast higher tier you will get more than just the YES network. Both YES and Comcast are greedy and we pay the price either way. But at least you would get more to watch with Comcast. I don’t really have another option in my area if YES is dropped from Comcast. It’s Gotham or Directv stream. And Directv stream would end up costing me a lot more than Comcast.

This is probably the last straw for me. As a Comcast subscriber for well over 25 years, I will start looking for alternatives. First they dropped MSG shutting us our from Rangers and Knicks, then I get a $20+ a month increase a couple months ago, now they are dropping YES and the Yankees. Corporate greed has replaced customer satisfaction within this company. Very sad.

Paying more for less. The bill always goes up. 22-23 dollar increase in the last couple of months and now the YES network is getting dropped. This is ridiculous. It’s really ridiculous! Why is my bill higher and I’m getting less. When I was locked into my 2 year contract yes was included and the price was 22-23 dollars less per month!

When Frontier dropped the YES Network in 2020 I switched to Xfinity so I could watch the Yankees. When Xfinity dropped MSG Network I was [Edited: "Language"] (and still am) but stayed with them since I had no other cable company option in my town in Connecticut. I'm paying more than $300 a month for your television and internet services. Now, you're going to dump the YES Network? You're about to lose a lot of customers, including me.

The domino pieces are already falling in my house. As of last night I am Signed up for DirecTv stream! It’s been hard enough losing the Knicks and Ranger games, I will not lose the Yankees.
Even if a deal is met, I fully suspect the xfinity bill to only get bigger.
This was the push I needed to cut ties for tv and phone from xfinity. $60 a month in rental equipment, taxes and fees.
