$200 Amazon Gift Card issues

Update: Xfinity did not honor the promotion and scammed me into a contract. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend doing business with them. Another corporation who takes advantage of honest hard working people, especially around the holidays by soliciting enticing offers of gift cards that I counted on to help pay for Christmas gifts, only to be met with gaslighting accusations and empty promises.

I activated service on December 21, 2024 after being lured in by the infamous $200 Amazon Gift Card deception/scam that no one has seem to have gotten based on various other inquires on this board. I was assured by a phone representative who assisted me with activating my account and service that nothing else needed to be done and that the card would be delivered via email within 2-4 weeks. Nothing has been received and the representative I spoke with today claimed that there is no evidence of such promotion. Like many others, I am extremely disgusted with Xfinity's deceptive practices, especially as a first time customer that only used this service because of their promotion. I have used the promotion tracking link to no avail, and customer service representatives cannot offer any help. I write this to document yet another dissatisfied customer who has been scammed by Xfinity's $200 Amazon Gift card promotion to lure in customers and lock them in to a contract, by having us wait longer than the 30 day period to cancel without fee. Thank you for reaching out and creating a new post. I see you signed up for an offer that included an Amazon gift. However, you haven't gotten the gift card or any updates. I'll be glad to review your plan, recent promotion, and the gift card offer and provide more clarity. I've seen posts this week of customers getting the gift card, so they are going out. It appears the timeline can vary, which we'll help review. Please send me a direct message with your full name and service address to get started.

To send a direct message, please click on the chat icon in the top-right corner of the screen, and select "Xfinity Support" to initiate a Direct Message.
Click "Sign In" if necessary
Click the "direct messaging" icon or https://forums.xfinity.com/direct-messaging
Click the "New message" (pencil and paper) icon
Type "Xfinity Support" in the "To:" line and select "Xfinity Support" from the drop-down list which appears. The "Xfinity Support" graphic replaces the "To:" line

As an update. I contacted Xfinity customer service, and was told again that it is my fault for not having my WiFi router professionally installed (I.e., plugged into the wall, which is all I did), and that professional installation was apparently a condition of eligibility to receive the gift card. Which was at no point mentioned during my initial activation phone call nor was it a referenced in the promotion. The entire reason I chose Xfinity was to take advantage of this promotion. Such a shady corporation.
