$28 bill suddenly $104-Quadrupled Overnight

My bill just quadrupled from $28 to $104 for mobile and wifi.

It looks like a bait and switch-quadrupling the cost for worse quality wifi. The wifi itself has been noticably worse for the past 2 months and I am being charged more than double for it. I would like to speak someone about a promotion, otherwise I will need to switch.

user_60ek8r  Thank you for reaching out for help with your bill increase. It sounds like your promotions may have come to an end, including possibly the free Xfinity mobile line for a year. We do have a repackage page you can check out to see if there are any new offers there.  If you don't see anything there that fits your needs, let us know.

My Mobile is already with xfinity, is $48/mo and is not free. I have only one line with unlimited data. I have been paying that since July 2023.

I looked at all the options- I already have the xFi Complete installed in my home-not sure if it can be removed and that is an automatic $25 per month.

The tiers offered are 300mbps at $70/mo, 500mbps $79/mo (My current plan), 500mbps w/parental controls $85/mo and 1gig $100/mo.

Even if I switched to the lowest tier, it would be $90/mo. It is now 5X the price of all last year (10X the original price), as seen plainly in my bill summary below.

There is no deal I could find to make it less than $90.  It is hard to see this as anything other than a bait and switch.

I also work remotely occasionally and have had the internet crash in virtual court. To reliability work remotely while talking to the Judge, it would require me to get a higher speed than I have now. I stopped working from home on court days because my internet crashed while I was presenting to the judge in oral argument, which prejudiced my client.

I was not able to find any offer/deal visible to me that fit my needs.

I have reached out to the support team. If they are unable to help, I will update this post for transparency.

So far, the support team has offered to only double the bill to $70, by giving me the lowest possible speed of 300mbps with the ability to watch NBC shows streaming on peacock tv for free.
