4K Satellite Box on X1 system

I have an X1 system with an XG1v4 Hub and an XiD-P satellite box. I just purchased a new 4K TV for the satellite location. When I search for 4K programming I do see the option of Xfinity replacing the XiD-P box with a 4K compatible box at no extra cost. However it does not say what model box that will be, either a second XG1v4 or the wireless Xi6 box. I would prefer the XG1v4, and to pick this up at the local Xfinity store, but it is not Comcast owned and the contract vendor often doesn't know the correct information. Exactly what should I ask for at the store to make sure I'm not billed for a second DVR service with the second XG1v4 box?

BFM306 Great question. Well the Xi6 are not able to be picked up at stores as they are only shipped, so that should make it a bit easier or we can always ship you a box.

Thank you, that definitely helps with a part of the question. However, as I mentioned, my preference would be to use a second XG1v4 box as the 4K alternative  (with hopefully a faster response time compared to the wireless Xi6 box) where I now have a XiD-P satellite box. So I have a multi-part question:

1. Can an XG1v4 box be used as a 4K satellite box?

2. If yes, is it available from the retail store?

3. Will I be billed for a second DVR service if I use the XG1v4 box?

4. If I order a 4K box through my X1 system, which indicates that there will be no cost, which box will  be provided?  There is no option in that method to ask for a particular model, or even to find out exactly which box would be shipped.

Since the XG1v4 box supports 4K Ultra HD, you can definitely use it in addition to the one you already have if you want 👍 You can also stop by any Xfinity office to pick one up, but stock will vary by location. You'll only be charged the added DVR service fee for the additional equipment if you choose to enable the 150 hours of storage within it, and anytime you order equipment directly from your X1 equipment, you'll always be sent the latest model by default.
