Within 30 days you do want to return the old Xfinity modem to avoid being charged for unreturned equipment which this link https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/returning-your-equipment has great information on how you can return Xfinity equipment Via our local Xfinity stores or one of our many UPS locations
